Radartechnik
by Dipl.-Phys. Hans-Joachim Fischer
DDR 1956
German language, (pdf)
Fischer's book was in his days one of the best books on radar theory and technology. Those interested in wartime technology will find a wide range of information. Considering the time in which Fischer created this book, being the communist era, he had to omit everything that directly linked to Nazi-technology. What he did was, he shows nameless circuits, when appropriate. However, those familiar with German radar technology (also known as: Funkmesstechnik), simply have to bear in mind some part numbers and, eventually, valve type (numbers).
I have first selected Fischer's explications on magnetron strapping and magnetron construction (pages 162 - 173).
In the meantime, Rod Burman sent me some photos of a test rig, of which the thinks that it was used for: cold-strapping-tuning
